Sun Mao, who was born in 1955, graduated from Beihang University in 1978, and received his PhD in Princeton University in 1983. Now, he is a professor and doctorate supervisor in Beihang University. In 2000 , Prof. Sun was selected in the Chang Jiang Scholars Program.
His main research area is bionic fluid mechanics. Prof. Sun has published more than 70 papers in SCI, and been asked to give a talk in many international academic conferences. His most prominent achievement is the discovery of three mechanisms on how insects flying produceshigh-lift.
